Description
The TECNA 6124N is a medium-frequency direct-current (MFDC) inverter spot/projection welding machine pairing a 200 kVA (50% duty) transformer with linear-action, air-operated press actuation. Welding current is rectified and supplied at 1000 Hz, giving low line draw and balanced three-phase loading compared with single-phase AC machines. Standard electrode force is 1,654 lbs at 6 bar; the optional higher-force cylinder (Art. 6135) raises maximum electrode force to 2,792 lbs. The 6124N offers a 15.35 in. electrode throat depth and a 10.31 in. projection-plate throat depth for both spot and projection work, with a 0–80 mm adjustable retraction stroke. Transformer, electrode holders, and electrodes are water-cooled for extended duty cycles.
